Lunar Socks pattern, ENG

The Lunar Socks was first published in Finnish at 2023 in the knitting book called Villasukkabuffet - Toinen kattaus. The Moon themed socks had been on my mind for a long time, because the subject is very dear to me and I find it interesting. The enchanting and beautiful, ever-changing Moon has charmed me and I never get tired of looking at it.

The Lunar socks presents the regular phases of the Moon, from new moon through crescent to full moon, after which the phases of the moon begin to decrease again towards the new moon. Full circle of that amazing wanderer.

The 15-pages long PDF-pattern includes good charts, written instructions and photos for the two different sizes.

Lunar Socks - narrower size:

Foot size: EU 38–39 (41–42)

Upper calf circumference: Suits best for about 35–38 cm calf.
Sock measurements: Leg length (including the cuff and heel) is 38 cm. 
Foot length in size 38–39 is about 24 cm and in size 41–42 about 26 cm.

Needles: strander knit: 2,5 mm / US 1,5, the cuffs: 2 mm / US 0

Yarn: 400 / 100 g
Colors: Main color is Satuko Design hand-dyed fingering merino sock yarn in dark blue, 100 g.
Contrasting color is Satuko Design hand-dyed fingering merino sock yarn in yellow, 60 g.
